During Virtual Game Nights comedian Olly Robinson hosts live games. But this isn’t your average pub trivia - VGN games come with all the production values of a high octane TV game show.

How It Works

Participants use their phones to play along in real time while watching the live game show on Zoom. Our supercomputer scores as your host keeps everyone on track, laughter guaranteed. You bring the players. We bring a selection of unqiue, easy to learn, engaging games you've never played before.

Each round is perfect for small teams or groups up to a thousand participants strong. One hour of play is about eight rounds. Below are your game options, simply specify which games from the options you'd like to play.

Game Options

  • Well Whaddya Know? - Classic trivia like Ma and Pa played in the good ol’ days. 10 questions, 10 seconds each, 100 points a piece. General knowledge questions from history and geography to this week’s news and what you’re currently watching on Netflix.

  • The Observator - Put your recall skills to the test - sit back and relax as you enjoy a music video. Then don’t sit back OR relax as you’re grilled on what you just saw with true or false questions. Did that dog really have webbed feet, or is your mind just playing tricks on you?

  • Spelling Hornet - Aw, remember spelling bees? They were fun, weren’t they? This time, instead of getting a hug and a juice box if you spell a word wrong, the inexplicably aggressive Spelling Hornet will steal your points and maybe say something mean about you under its breath.

  • Emoji Showdown - The world’s favorite passive aggressive language is now a fun game for the whole gang to enjoy! Tap the ✅ answer on your 📱 before the ⏲ runs out. Decode titles, names and phrases written only in emojis before time runs out.

  • Broken News - This just in - the intern accidentally deleted all of today’s headlines and we’re on the air in five minutes. You’ll see ten partial headlines from this week’s news cycle, but they all need completing. Fill in the blanks and score points for getting the correct complete headline.

  • Silent Jukebox - The jukebox is busted again - it’s stuck in karaoke mode. How are you with lyrics? Scratch that - it doesn’t matter, since you’re identifying these songs purely from their instrumental versions. Hopefully the beats are in your bones for this one.

  • Zoomin’ All Over the World - Name the iconic world landmarks and locations based on angles you’ve never seen them from before. From a bird’s eye view to an inch away, a keen eye for details and distinctive features will serve you well in this virtual world tour.

  • Beat the Clock - Even trivia’s got a mean streak these days. Every question is worth a tasty 250 points when the timer starts but with every second that passes, the clock reduces the number of points available. Can you answer before it’s eaten them all up?

By day I’m a New York based entrepreneur, broadcaster, and business analyst with over a decade of experience in the first-class entertainment sector. Since 2010 I have worked on over 100 productions and events in the West End and on Broadway (global clients include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Come From Away, The Illusionists, Matilda The Musical, and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as well as numerous tours, concerts, operas, ballets and other live events across Europe and North America. I’ve held roles with some of the world’s largest live entertainment organizations including ATG, AKA, Mirvish Productions and TodayTix. My unique resumé means I’ve analyzed in minute detail the business and advertising strategies of many major entertainment brands in several different commercial settings to learn what audiences look for and respond to in terms of both content and context. I’m also the host and editor of the podcast Putting It Together for the Broadway Podcast Network in which I interview Broadway’s best business minds once a month. I was the recipient of SOBOM’s Ted Motchman Award in 2015 for my work in London’s West End, and a nominee the year prior. In 2020 I founded Virtual Game Night, a wholly original and interactive full-scale gameshow format delivered live over Zoom for private customers and events. By night, I’m a comedian writing and performing under the stage and pen name Olly Robinson. I’ve been lucky enough to perform to sold out crowds at Greenwich Village Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club and more. In this guise I’m also the host of the podcast Smashed and the host of Virtual Game Night’s shows and events.
