How It Works

Escape the Zoom is a customizable puzzle game where teams might have to call a phone number, that leads them to a website, that leads them to an Instagram post that leads them to an email address.... In this game, your team plays a team of detectives who have been hired by a client who was kidnapped and locked inside a room. The client (your host) has some information and locked boxes and you must tell them how to escape from the room.

Teamwork, communication and creative problem solving are required. We can customize the game to your company: using your logo, your product, or your company’s values. Players are split into teams of 5-10 players to compete for the best times. During the event, your host will split the group up into teams to work with individual team facilitators if your group is over 10 players.

What to Expect

Escape the Zoom is an actor-driven virtual escape room designed for corporate team building and team bonding.

Your group will have to:

Solve puzzles and clues

Interact with live actors

Sleuth around online

Think critically

Communicate and collaborate

Practice divergent thinking

Build consensus

Options to Customize

We have a few options that would allow us to customize the game for your team and make your experience uniquely funny. Any of the options below are available to customize after your event date and time are confirmed.

We have a puzzle that uses ID cards. If you can send me a photo of your company’s ID card or a jpeg of your logo we can have this puzzle show your company logo.

We have a bonus puzzle that we can customize based on your team members and distinctive things about them. It’s basically one of those logic puzzles where “Bob is standing in front of Jen while holding three star wars lightsabers while Sam is standing behind Jen holding tomatoes” problems, so we can customize it with names and things that people are known for. For instance, if someone is known to love basketball, to drive fancy cars, to raise heirloom tomatoes, etc. Can you think of four or five people on your team and any distinctive interests/hobbies that they enjoy?

We have a puzzle with some Google Streetview photos and can customize this so it has photos of the area near your company’s HQ or somewhere where your team has had a retreat. Can you send me the address of a location that most of your team members would know?

What are some key phrases that your team uses frequently? It could be your company’s values or just something specific to your team. We can try to incorporate those into the game or have the facilitators work them into the facilitated discussion.
